Graduate Students
The King Fahd Center for Middle East Studies is an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental area studies center that offers diverse cultural, intellectual, and educational opportunities for the University of Arkansas community. An academic and research unit in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences, its functions include the promotion of research and teaching in interdisciplinary Middle East studies and global Islamic studies.
The King Fahd Center does not currently offer a graduate degree in Middle East or Islamic Studies. However, the Center provides support to graduate students working in related academic disciplines with Center faculty specialists by providing graduate assistantships and grants for summer language study, research, and conference travel.

Students wishing to pursue a graduate degree in a department affiliated with the King Fahd Center must first apply for admission to the University of Arkansas Graduate School. The Graduate School will forward the files of eligible applicants to the department or program indicated for final consideration. Applicants may only be considered after admission into the Graduate School and a related department.
